LARSEN, LAVONNE A., 86 (obituary)

Funeral services were held Friday, May 8, 2009 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Grove City for LAVONNE A. Larsen, age 86, of Eden Valley who died Tuesday at Hilltop Care Center in Watkins. Rev. Jean Smith officiated and burial was at First Lutheran Cemetery in Grove City. Arrangements were made with Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Eden Valley.

LaVonne was born March 15, 1923 in Grove City to Edwin & Frieda (Langren) Erickson. She married Arlo Larsen on October 19, 1946 in Grove City. LaVonne was a homemaker and lived in the Eden Valley area most of her life. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Grove City. LaVonne enjoyed flowers and bird watching.

Survivors include her children, Karen (Vern) Anderson of Hutchinson and Kevin (Terry) Larsen of Rice; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arlo on October 1, 1990; daughters, Donna Thielen and Janet Hanley; an infant daughter, Wanda Kay; and brother, Stanley Erickson.
