FABER, JOSEPHINE M., 95 (obituary)

Mass of Christian Burial was held Friday, January 2, 2009 at St. Henry’s Catholic Church in Monticello for Josephine M. Faber, 95, of Monticello and formerly of Eden Valley, who died Monday at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale. The Rev. Tim Rudolphi officiated and burial was at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Eden Valley. Friends may call after 9:00 a.m. Arrangements are being made by the williams Dingmann family Funeral Home in Becker.

Josephine was born December 16, 1913 in rural Richmond to Paul & Caroline (Zimmerman) Ruprecht. She married Nicholas Faber on October 8, 1935 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Cold Spring. The couple farmed in rural Richmond until 1937. They moved to Eden Valley and farmed there until retiring in 1979. Josephine worked for Jennie-O Foods in Litchfield. She was a past member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Eden Valley and is currently a member of St. Henry’s Catholic Church in Monticello.

Survivors include her children, Eileen Tintes of Litchfield, Carol (Larry) Maslyn of Goodyear, AZ, Mary (Jim) Thompson of Sierra Vista, AZ, Gerald (Jo) Faber of Bellingham, WA, Theresa Knutson of Milaca, Phyllis (Richard) Danielson of Hutchinson, Wayne (Phenn) Faber of Mount Vernon, WA, Dennis Faber of Hawaii, Sharon (Jerry) Crocker of Monticello, Yvonne (Bob) Thomsen of Grove City, Harriet (Mike) Ferreira of Sedro Wooley, Wa, Kathy Kindseth of Litchfield, Steven (Cheri) Faber of Maple Grove, Perry Faber of Wichitia, KS; 41 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband on January 2, 1994; daughter, Jeannette Mueller; brothers, Carl, John, and Joe Ruprecht; sisters, Frances Schramel, Amelia Pirlk, Mathilda Larson, Rose Frieckels, Mariaon Ruprecht and Sr. Zitella Ruprecht, O.S.B.
