Trying to trackdown information on John SOMMERVILLE ( the last names has been on various paperwork all four ways) and his second wife Dora ( coul be Dorathea or Dorthea) Sophia ZABLE (also seen as ZABEL and ZOBLER). John and his first wife, Janet, and 5 children are found in Oconomowoc, Waukesha, Wisconsin. He is listed as Jno Somerville in the census.The 1860 federal census shows them still in the same place,Oconomowoc, Waukesha, Wisconsin. The 1870 fedeeral census shows a different picture of him. He is now in Bergen, McLeod, Minnesota, married to Sophia with some of the first children along with children of the second wife.Looking at the kids ages, suspect he moved in about 1864 or 1865. The 1850 census says the children were born in New York state, so John and fa,ily lived in Wisconnsin from about 1847 till abt 1865. WEould love to find out about his earlier life.
