Surnames: Tuchtenhagen
I am trying to find any information on Frederich Tuchtenhagen (b. abt 1844, Germany) and Wilhelmina Wahl (b. abt 1843, Germany), who had several children in Victor Township, Wright County,MN in the 1880s. I don't know where they lived before this. Do these names ring a bell?

Do you know of any connection between the Moskops in MN. and the Moskops in ILL, ARK. I am decendant of Johann Moskop b. 1849, Germany, who came to ILL, then ARK. I believe his father is Conradus Moskop who married Anna M Rath. With a name like Moskop I suspect they all came from the same place. Im stuck on my line right now so any info would be helpfull.
Thanks

The Tuchtenhagen's I have in my file are also from Wright County in MN but I cannot find the names you listed in my files (but they must be related). After coming over from Germany, the Tuchtenhagen's in my file were in the following locations:

Green Isle, Sibley, MN
Howard Lake, Wright Co., MN
Elk River, Wright Co., MN

I'll let you know if and when I make a connection - please do the same. Good luck!

There must be some connection between the Moskop's in Illinois and in Minnesota. Johann's sister Mary Katherine lived for a short time in Minneapolis, Minnesota

You mention the name BORK. I'm wondering what information you have on that surname in McLeod County. I am particularly researching Wilhelmina BORK, b 1843, Labes, Pommern, Germany, daughter of Carl BORK. Wilhelmina at least resided in McLeod County and married in 1867 to William Zieske. Thanks for any further information on them or related persons. All the best, Ken Neumann
