Please let me know your pedigree to Alexander McLeod in order to update my records. Thanks. Also, do you know where George and Georginia McLeod were burried?

My father and Tex were cousins. My father's grandfather was Canuto Davila brother of Candelaria Canuta Davila who married George Mcleod in Luling,Texas where he was a tacher.
I believe there was another sister named Fransica. I have seen several letters which Tex wrote to my father and relatives in Luling and San Antonio, most were written in Spanish.

James N Windham out of Houston has good information,he is a decedant of George Mcleod.
My name is Edward S. Davila 418 W. Kingsbury, Seguin,Tx 78155 ph.830-556-2354. email davilabq@swbell.net
I would appreciate any information that you can share.

I met with Jim a few years ago. However, I have heard from him since. He does have a lot of information. He stated that he was compling a book. Lost touch with him. Do you know if there is going to be another family reunion?

From what I recall from my last contact with Jim Windham, he has a copy of the late John Hall's manuscript. I believe that he wanted to get it privately published. Another contact was working on a book about one of his relatives who was a contemporary of Tex McLeod. He then got interested in Tex and was gathering information for a book about Tex. He also had John Hall's manuscript. Jim Windham has done extensive genealogy study. My interest has been mostly on Tex McLeod's life and not so much on family genealogy, but I will gladly provide what details I have accumulated. There is also an American writer living in Italy who is working on a project relating to the European interest in the American West. She visited with me about two years ago to get information on Tex McLeod. I prefer to exchange information by direct e-mail rather than on the message board because of the extensive volume involved. My e-mail address is: fragar@swbell.net

Another person, Clark Gray here in Austin, has visited with me and I have provided him with extensive information on Tex McLeod for his efforts in putting together a book on Tex. I haven't heard from him in about two months, so I don't know what's become of that project.
