A long time ago, I offered to do look-ups in this book. Things went just fine for awhile, but then I stopped getting any email notifications when someone had a query. I don't know what happened. All of a sudden, I received an email from ancestry.com and followed the link back to the board. I noticed that there were many unanswered posts going back a long time. I apologize to those who did not receive an answer. I am still willing to do look-ups. If you did not get an answer, please re-post on this thread. I do need at least the following information: Name of ancestor, City, Village, or Township in Goodhue County, MN, Approximate dates they lived in the area. Also helpful: Business owned, if they were clergy. This book is not a complete, or even partial, census record. It lists the early settlers of each city, village and township and some of the early prominent businesspeople and clergy. There is a small chapter of biographical sketches that is indexed by name, but they are mostly large business owners, clergy, and politicians. There are also no cemetery records. Each section does have some of the early churches listed if you need to check on a church name. I also see that someone has posted that this book is available on HeritageQuest. I am not familiar with that site. Once again, I am sorry if you were ignored. It wasn't intentional!
