Bertina G. Turnmire

The funeral service for Bertina G. Turnmire of Lakeview Methodist Health Care Center, Fairmont, Minn, was held at 11 a.m. Friday at Bonnerup and Son Funeral Chapel, Albert Lea. The Rev. Norman Wahl officiated. Inturnment was at Hayward Cemetery.
Bertina died Tuesday at the Lakeview Methodist Health Care Center. She was 79 years old.
She was born Feb. 29, 1909 at Plaza, N.D. to Bert and Inger (Hagen) Rortvedt. She married John Turnmire in 1953 at Blooming Prairie, Minn.
Bertina enjoyed her home. She came to Minnesota at the age of 19 where she settled in the Corning, Minn, area. She moved to the Albert Lea area in the 1940s.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Orville (Irene) Nesset of Walters, Minn., Mrs. William (Bernice) Mobry of Fairmont, Minn.,and Mrs. Donald (Marjorie) Swartz of Memphis, Tenn.; and one son John Diesman of Watertown, Minn.; 22 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and one brother, Edwin Rortvedt of Blythe, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband John in 1975; sister Eida Bloom; and two brothers Torvel and Elmer Rortvedt.
