My ggrandfather Roy W. Olson was born 1 Aug 1887 in Newburg, Fillmore, MN (this info came from the Vital Records Index). I am trying to find out about his parents Oliver Olson and Amelia. Oliver was born in Iowa (don't know the year). Were birth records kept at this time that might give me his mothers maiden name?
