I may be able to help you out with this question. Ole Olsen and Anna Helgesdatter had 4 children: Ole Olsen, Helge Olsen, Erik Olsen and Thomas Olsen. From what I've been able to figure out, they immigrated with a farm name of Bratterud. Here's a link to a transcription of the passenger manifest: http://www.norwayheritage.com/p_list.asp?jo=189&ps=8971
(Also, on the Fillmore County plat maps, Ole the elder is known as Ole Olsen B, either in Carrollton or Pilot Mound townships.)
Anna died in 1867, Ole married Christina in January 1869, and I believe that I pieced that information together from your contributions (thank you!) I'm still trying to figure out how that marriage ended, because Ole married a third time. I can't find a marriage record, but his 2/25/1892 will refers a Maren Olsen (nee Haug).
Here's the link to his monument: https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/171803353/ole-o.-haug
As further indignity to us Klevens everywhere, his death record is recorded "Ole O Klaven," and his monument reads "HAUG."
I believe that Ole O Kleven the younger married the widow Guro Helgesdatter Hansen 2/24/1869. At that point, Ole, Guro and Helge all move to Cottonwood County, MN. Ole the younger is a traveling machinery salesman, so he is harder to find in the census. I'm not confident that I've found a death record for Ole.
Not sure when the family name changes from Bratterud to Kleven, which was Anne Helgesdatter's domicile name (Kleiven).
I'm still researching the demise of Anne Helgesdatter, as this entry on find a grave intimates that she drowned in the South Fork of the Root River. https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/125096556/anne-unknown
Only a transcription of the cemetery records; her grave is unmarked. If you've happened to stumble on to anything, please let me know.
Elling and Guro Hanson's son, Helge (Henry) goes on to be a successful businessman and banker in Cottonwood County, MN.
FWIW, I'm a direct descendant of Ole and Anna (3rd Great Grandparents), but I'm merely an armchair geneologist, and a relatively new one at that.
Hope you found this helpful.
