My great grandfather Rudolph Retzlaff came from Germany in the 1800s and settled in Green Island, NY. He was a carpenter. He married Theodora Wobrock and had 3 sons, Arthur, Carl (or Karl)and Edward. My great grandfather died in 1902 and is buried in Oakwood Cemetery in Troy, NY.
His son Edward (Eduard Wilhelm Rudolf Retzlaff) married Jessie C. Gratton of Troy, NY in 1907.
My brother said our gr,grandfather Rudolph had two brothers who settled in the Midwest but I have no information. Does anyone have a Retzlaff ancestor in the midwest with ties to New York?
