This message comes from Michael and Lois Gustafson, as we are graduates of Portal High School, Portal, North Dakota in 1964-65. Phyllis graduated from Portal in 1936. My wife and I visit with Phyllis at least two or three times per month...as we have been working on a reunion committee that hosted a reunion at Portal during the first weekend in August, 2014. One of the projects involves recording history from the International weekly newspaper printed at Portal from 1899 to December of 1942...and in this process we have recorded lots and lots of information about Seth O. Crosby who was mayor from 1900 to 1906 and again becoming mayor in 1914 which was one hundred years ago. I built a N scale model of Portal and North Portal, Saskatchewan along with the railroad scene during those early years. I also scratch built the Crosby house...all of this available to someone that can respond to further my research. loigus@msn.com
