Hi! I am starting a search for the the ancestors of my mother (Barbara Hasselquist Asche). Her fathers name was Reuben Carl Hasselquist(dob 4 apr 1904 in Phelps County, NE) his father's name was John August Hasselquist (dob 4 jul 1869 in Jonskopping, Smaland, Sweden) John's father is a mystery to me, he is listed in John's marriage license as A. Johnson and in John's death certificate as Adolph Adolphson. I have the same problem with John's mother, she is Johan Carlson on the marriage certificate and Christena Johnson on the death certificate and I tend to believe she was Christena because I have seen family documents and other records that refer to her as Christena Johnson. Let me know if you find anything in your records that would help me. Thanks! Pam Babcock

It's been awhile since you posted so I hope you get this! I am interested to know if you have any information on Axel Seabloom whom married Josephine? This would be my great grandfather's brother and the family is very difficult to trace.
Thanks,
Lisa

Alicia,
Thank you for your reply. Are you any relation to Axel and Josephine? I have Axel traced back to Sidyby, Finland. Do you happen to have any knowledge of his brother(s) or father?
Thanks again,
Lisa

I saw that manifest. I also found Eddie Josephson, b Sep 1872, arrived in 1891, painter from Finland on the 1900 Hyde Park Census. I believe This to be August Edvin Josefsson Sjoblom, Finnish passport dated 26 Jul 1890. My Grandmother's father was Axel's brother, this was the only brother that she knew about. Her father changed his name to Emil Wilson, he was a painter. My big mystery is if August, Eddie and Emil are all one in the same.
Thanks again for your help!
Lisa
