CWVE Barber, George E. 1839 m Mary Jane 1844 NY died 1915 WA
George E. Barber b/1839 one location says Me another Canada. It does say his parents are from Canada and 1850 MN census shows George with family Edward & Mary Barber from Canada. By 1860 MN census Ed & Mary are living next door to George and wife Mary and first child George in Hennepin Co. MN. It appears that George joined Civil War in the 1st MN Light Artillery as a private and later requested pension from this service. By 1880 the Barber family removed to Anoka County, MN with George 1838, Mary J. 1844, George H 1859, Charles L. 1863, Dorinda B. 1867. By 1900 the family all removed to Snohomish Co. Washington and George & Mary lived in Everett WA till their death. George died 1915. In his obit it noted surviving are his three children Charles of Coolee City, Mrs. Edward Hunter (should be Dorinda) of MN dose not name the third but George H. is the only one left. George is burried at our Evergreen Cemetery in Everett, WA and is a part of our Civil War project. Would love to hear from anyone researching this family and share what we have.
