Hi, I am searching for information on the LAVALLEE family members who were in the St. Paul area in 1850 and mine moved to the Centerville, Anoka Co., MN area. My g-grandfather is FRANCOIS XAVIER LAVALLEE who married Marie Sheppard and then married ADELINE SWARTZ. They had a daughter ZOE JUSTINE LAVALLEE in 1888 in Centerville and then a son ALONZO LAVALLEE. I believe that FRANCOIS was oldser and died sometime in the 1880s. Adeline then married Thomas McCarthy and had more children.

Do any of these names commect with your family genealogy?
I have found one relative connected to the McCarthys and one connected to the a LAVALLEE brother of my FRANCOIS. I have very little info on his & Zoe's family.

Pierre VALLEE Son of Pierre LAVALLE & Madeleine DUMENSIL. Pierre was born 6 Jun 1636 in St-Saens France. He died before 21 Oct 1686 in Filion, Beauport, Quebec. He married Marie-Therese LEBLANC daughter of Leonard LEBLANC & Marie RITON 12 Jan 1665 in Quebec City. Born 3 May 1651. Christen 5 Mar 1651. Buried 10 Jul 1729 in Hospital General, Quebec, QC. Adeline Schwartz is my great-great grandmother. Her second husband, Thomas McCarthy is my gg grandfather. Their son, Robert, is my great grandfather. Does anyone have any more info on Adeline's family?

Adeline Schwartz or Swartz is my great grandmother. I know nothing more on her parents. She was married numerous times.

She married a Frederick William Pettes (whom I just learned about). She had 2 children: Guilford Clark Pettes b. 1884 and Gladys Pettes b. 1883.

She next married Francois Xavier Lavallee and she had 2 more children: Alonzo Lavallee b. 1885, and Zoe Justine Lavallee (my grandmother)b. 1888.

She next married Thomas McCarthy and had 3 children: Daniel McCarthy b. 1896, Robert McCarthy b. 1898, and Kathryn McCarthy b. 1900.

She then married Frank Brock and died shortly afterwards.

Our family had her listed as Perkins so it is possible her first marriage might have been to a Perkins since she was about 29 yrs. old when she married Lavallee.
