Dear Glenn,
Hello, my name is Rachel
Billington and I am posting this in response to the
Aitkin County Forsbergs. I live in
Vancouver,
Washington USA and I am descended from Jöns Peter
Jonsson Forsberg (Dec. 18, 1854 - Feb. 1933) and Anna Margareta
Johansson (March 9, 1863 - Dec. 6, 1943). My Great Great Grandmother was Hulda Margareta (May 3, 1891 - Aug 22. 1975), their first daughter, and my Great Grandmother is her daughter Mildred Bloomstrom-Mai.
I am interested in what information you have about Jöns Peter
Jonsson as well as Anna Margareta. I have their family tree, pictures of the family, except for Anna as I guess she did not appreciate the art of photography (supposedly, she was a grumpy lady, heh). I also have some more information on their children as I noticed you didn't state all of them. They also had two more daughters, Jennie
Albertina (October 25, 1892 - April 20, 1981). Jennie married Charles Edwin
Johansson (later changed his surname to
Johnson) and raised nine children. I have Jennie's family tree, as well.
The other daughter is Sara Christina (April 5, 1898 - Nov. 1916) who died very young to which I believe was caused by giving birth .. I could ask my Great Grandmother again, but I'm pretty sure that was the reason for her death.
I would appreciate any information that you have available about the family. Also, I have lots of documentations of the family, backgrounds, who they married, who their children are, etc. Mostly, as I have all the American information, I am looking for info that goes back to Sweden. For instance, I've heard many rumors as to what the Forsberg's real last name is. Some say
Johansson,
Nilson, and
Nilsson. They changed their name when they moved to Malmo because there were already too many people with their real last name. I am very willing to share any part and as much of the information that I have about the
Forsberg family.
Sincerely,
Rachel
