Surnames: Davis, Joslin, Gustafson, Rasmussen, Lewis
SERENDIPITY: There is a charming circa 1911 photo of two little brothers, Royal Alden and Frank Elton Davis pictured with their heifer, Joy, on pg. 228 of the Jan-Feb 1996 issue of "The Genealogical Helper" magazine. They were the sons of Frank Ray Davis (1872-1938) and Cora L. Joslin (1873-1968) of rural Belding, Ionia Co., Michigan.

Royal (1898-1986) never married and farmed with his parents west of Smyrna, MI on Button Road. They raised registered milking shorthorns.

Frank (1903-1973) was called Teddy or Ted as a youth due to the popularity of Teddy Roosevelt. He married Lydia Emelia Gustafson (1905-1965), of Amasa, Iron Co., MI and raised three children - Shirley L. (Rasmussen) of Three Rivers, Frank Alden (deceased prior to 1996) of Battle Creek, and Donna (Lewis) of Jackson.

Shirley L. Rasmussen of Three Rivers shared this delightful photo. For more information please reference that issue.

Hopefully, this "snippet" will provide just the right clue to a researcher.
