I have hit a brick wall trying to find information on the above individual. Ethel Wilson was born in Oct 1909 in Pickford Chippewa County. Her parents were Edward Thomas Wilson & Ellen Gertrude O'Neil.

Ethel must have married before 1930 as she is not listed with her parents on the 1930 census. I found a write up that indicated that she married a George Fountain of DuTour.

I have tried both the 1930 & 1940 census' but can not find either a George or an Esther Fountain in Chippewa County or anywhere in MI.I tried searching the marriage records at the Family Search site but nothing was listed. I found an Ester M. Fountain who died 5 Mar 1997 in Oakland County but don't know if she is the correct person.

Maybe somebody who sees this can give me some information or some clues as to where else I can search.

Wilma
Brandon MB

I am looking for the grave site of John and Eliza Mitchell who settled in Pickford in the late 1800s from Huron County Ontario. I found Eliza died on September 6, 1902 and according to the death certificate is buried in Pickford. I have no information on her husband. One of her sons, Alexander, married Suzanal(Suzonal?) Smith and they had two sons John and Lloyd. I would appreciate if anyone has any information on this family and their children.

I'll check it out when I am in Cedarville in August, if not sooner.

My grandmother, Margaret McLeod, was a good friend of Russell Sims and one of his sisters.
Hey Jeff,

I don't know if the Presbyterian Church still has records that old or not. I would check with Jim Sims Jr. He is listed in the Pickford phone book. He managed the plots for the Stalwart cemetery for a long time. I say "used to" because I believe it has been turned over to the Township now... He's my cousin. It was his father Jim Sims that ran the Stalwart Post Office/Store/Gas Station...

I live in Cedarville. I am the Sims/Crawford/Hanna/Waybrant clan...

Rob Preston

Sadly, I have no photos at this time (although if memory serves me I do recall seeing a photo of Isabella and a few of her children/step-children). There is a debate over who is the mother of Mary (Steele) O'Brien - I firmly/without a doubt believe Isabella was her step-mother although some family trees have her listed as being biological (ages and limited marriage record info make it clear to me).

It appears Archibald Steele had two marriages prior to Isabella 1) Jane Houston and 2) Jane Tomkins. I believe Mary (Steele) O'Brien came from the first marriage.

On that note, in my family there is a story that Isabella left Archibald. Does anyone know anything about this, or has anyone else even heard of it before?

I am Matilda (Steele) Lordson's great granddaughter, granddaughter of Alfred and Agnes Lordson, daughter of Francis Lordson. I'm hoping to find information where Matilda's husband Louis Lordson is buried.

Matilda was the daughter of Archibald and Isabella (Robertson) Steele. Archibald had two previous marriages and many children. Hence, the three of us are distant cousins. I descend from the Mary Steele (married Robert Francis O'Brien) branch.

I have several children listed for Caroline and James, but nothing on any descendants beyond that.

Hi Lori,
I think the Riverside cemetary you are looking for is located in Sault Ste. Marie. Its located outside the east side of town along the St. Marys River. It would be in Chippewa County so you might search under cemetary listings there. Hope this helps. Casey Wise

Sorry,
but this is all my information about Fussey.
I look for descendants of Jonas Nebe (Detroit).
Jonas was a brother of my gr-gr-grandfather.

Dieter

Thank you so much for you information on Alfred William Fussey and his wife and daughter, it was very kind of you.

Can I ask your advice again please? How can I find out when they arrived in the States from England and which ship they sailed on? If you are unable to help I shall understand.

Are you looking for descendants of the Nebe or Fussey family? I can probably help you with the Fussey's but have nothing for the Nebe's, except for Caroline's name and the name of her parents' which you have kindly sent to me.

Brenda.
