am trying to find out any information on Eugene Mayrand who worked in the Copper Mine in Hancock. His father Adolph Mayrand was born in 1857 in Quebec but they moved on to Hancock where many members of my family also worked in the Polk Mine. Eugene Mayrand was killed on his last day of work with the company. He was taking the elevator down into the shaft but when it stopped it had not reached bottem and he fell to his death. I have no idea what year he was born but he did have 9 siblings and he was married.

I would appreciate any help you can give me on Eugene.
