Thanks for the lookup. I thought the Lloyd A. Heath in Florida was the one as the birth year was correct and he was from Michigan but the obit does not fit. I will have to keep looking. He may have died in Michigan before 1975 and did not collect SS which really make it difficult or the odd chance he is still alive at 98 years young. I do know he was in Detroit up till 1950.

Thanks again!

Roy

Not in the Michigan Death Index but found this in the SS death index:

Lloyd A. Heath
Birth: 27 Mar 1911
Death: 30 Jan 1997 - Dunnellon, Citrus, Florida, United States of America
Civil: Michigan

If you are looking for an obituary or death notice, try contacting the local public library either in Dunnellon or the Citrus County Public library. Use google to find the library.

Hello. I am descended from John and Anna (Druar) Schuett. Anna died in 1912 in Truax, Saskatchewan, Canada. Do you know where her husband John is buried? He died October 17, 1900 in Culross, Bruce, Ontario, Canada. I am also looking for the burial location of their son John Schutt, who died September 18, 1900 in Lasalle, New York. His death record stated that he was buried in Canada.

If you are related to the Schuett and Druar families, I have much information to share.

Ann Marie Middleton
Bay City, Michigan, USA

I just can't believe they haven't offered the public a way to subscribe. What gives? I remember Proquest used to have a way to buy packages of articles from various papers like the Chicago paper. I don't understand why they aren't doing the same thing with the Detroit Free Press. Not being able to get free access is one thing, but not being able to get any access??

I am so frustrated that Proquest doesn't offer a way for individuals to buy access. Our library doesn't carry the full line of Proquest newspapers, just the obits database; and our college carries only some of the newspapers, not all. In this economnic environment, libraries don't have much money to throw around, and I'm guessing it's priced prohibitively. Why did they bother to announce it but not give any means of access!?!!?!! Guess I know why -- they want us to go lobby our libraries to spend more on Proquest?? How annoying and ineffective.

Try the Archdiocese of Detroit and see if they can tell you w where Father Connelly was in residence? I know they have a website where you can find the archives and you can either call or write to them. Also from the polish last names it would help if you inform researchers on what area of Wayne County your ancestors were married? That maybe of help to others who may answered your request. Good Luck in your research.

Thank you all for your help, especially the reminders for the Burton Library.

I have contacted the DSGR via the Burton Lib. and hopefully they will be able to search the Wayne Co. naturalization film for me. '' of course '' I had to need my search in one of the counties who do not have their index online .. figures huh :)

Life would have been easier had my person gone to the Federal Courts for his naturalization ... lol .. then I could have plucked his info from here on Ancestry .. lol

Again, thank you all.

I am wondering if anyone would recognize the STEFANIAK name. Ignatius was my great-uncle. The only information that I have is he was born about 1865 in Germany/Poland and immigrated in 1887. He and his wife, Mary, had 9 children all born in either Calumet or Houghton, MI. His wife re-married in Detroit, MI on May 24, 1924. The groom's name was Frank Parolniczak. He was the son of Felix and Mary. Attendants were: B. Parolniczak and Catherine Stefaniak (one of Ignatius' daughters). Any information would be apprectiated.

Willing Photographer for Mt. Elliot Cemetery?

Hello,
I just discovered the Lane family buried at Mt. Elliot. I would like to find someone to take photos of the stones and monument for me. I'd be happy to pay for time involved if need be. Also, does anyone know who would be willing to do obit lookups? I appreciate it.
BTW, I have the lot and section of the Lane plot.
Robin
