I am looking for info regarding the Stanek Family,
My grandpa, Stephen Stanek, B;1918 Detroit,MI. has a brother Walter, a sister Genevieve and another brother, not sure on his name and if there are any other sibling.
I am having a hard time find info on there parents. they took the children away from them for running a blind pig in detroit. I don't know when this happened or who originally had the children after taking them from there parents, some kind of social service, either from a church or government.
The parents are John Stanek and Helen Kotasrewska both born around 1893,(on stephen's birth cert. it said they are Russian Poland. Thats it. Any info would be wonderful. been searching a long time.
