We just verified the parents of one of our ancestors. John Jacob DURYEA married Mary Parson GRANGER, either before or after the Civil War. He served in the Civil War in
the 24th MI Infantry, mustering in and out at Detroit (Wayne County). We would like to find a marriage date and any information on the GRANGER or DURYEA parents of bride or groom. John J. was a printer, born 1840 on Long Island in NY. He eventually died in Milwaukee, WI in the Old Soldiers' Home in 1912. We don't know where Mary was born, died or was buried. Children of the couple were Joseph, Sarah, Nellie, Ida & John. Any help in this search would be appreciated.
