I recently received a copy of my grandfather's obituary from a relative, but don't know which newspaper it was in.

Harold Allen
Dies in Detroit

Services for Harold H. Allen,
66, of 3968 Courville, Detroit,
who died December 21, were
held on December 24 at the
Verheyden Funeral Home and
burial was in the Forest Lawn
Cemetery in Detroit.
Mr. Allen, son of the late Mr.
and Mrs. George Allen of Alger,
was born in Elba, Mich. He
grew up in Alger where he start-
ed working for the New York
Central Railroad as a station
agent. After several years he
left to work as sales manager
for transportation firms in De-
troit.
Surviving are his wife, Cora,
and daughter, Muriel, of Detroit;
a son, Jack, and five grandchild-
ren of Los Alamos, New Mexico;
two sisters, Mrs. Anna Garrity,
Alger, and Mrs. Eva Devinney of
Pomona, Calif.; three brothers,
Clare of Flint, Clyde and Claude
Of Alger.
