I am trying to find out where the Summerville Baptist Church might have been. My GGgrandfather Purdy moved from Dearborn Twp near Telegraph and Van Born Rd to Dearborn Village about 1885 and found it was to far to go to his usual church because of ill health. Was Summerville in fact a small community within Taylor, Romulus or Dearborn Twp?

"He experienced religion in 1840; was baptized and became one of the constituent members of the Dearborn Baptist Church, and with a few others, labored to build up the cause of Christ there. ... remained weak and finally disbanded. In 1876 he assisted in organizing the Summerville church and with his wife became constituent members. He served as deacon of both churches."
