Marion Lillian Olsen, 97 years, of Palm Springs, CA passed away on June 21, 2008 in Palm Springs, CA of heart failure. She was born June 10, 1911 to Elliot and Estelle Mitchell in Ann Arbor, MI. She married Charles Cave Jr., on 1931 in Ann Arbor, MI.
She was in sales in children's clothing and bridal planning for many years. She was a member of the Desert Hot Springs and Palm Springs Ladies Club and Mizell Senior Center of Palm Springs.
She is survived by her daughter, Debra Bateman of Palm Springs, CA; 4 grandchildren, John Van de Water, David Murphy, Robin Smith and Jennifer Bateman; 5 great-grandchildren, Cheyne and Dalton Murphy, Tawni, Rylie and Guy Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elliot and Estelle Mitchell; her 1st husband Charles Cave Jr.; 2nd husband Thorwald Olsen; Daughter, Deyna Hodges, a former Palm Springs councilwoman; brother Charles Mitchell and sister Elaine Mitchell and family members, Bob and Bobbie Kuhn.
Services will be private with inurnment at a future date at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Glendale, CA.
The family suggest donations be made to the Wellwood Library, Palm Springs, CA.
Forest Lawn Cathedral City is in charge of arrangements.
