David went home to be with his Lord, October 21, 2009. He was born March 25, 1942 to Stan and Rose Barber. He graduated from WMU with a Bachelor of Science in 1974. He was president of the Gobles School Board for nine years. David was plant manager for Brundage Co. and Torin Co. In 1989 David with his wife Marilyn started Barber Packaging Company of Bangor. He enjoyed camping, farming, reading and drawing. Surviving are his wife, the former Marilyn Winne whom he married September 8, 1962; three daughters, Janet (Randy) Sauer; Susan Rall and Diane (Chris) Cairns; 11 grandchildren, Alex, Leslie (Victor), Nicole, Lindsey (Tod), Nolan, Hannah, Allison, Laura, Katie, Taylor, Ashley and one great-grandchild, Ezekiel; his father, Stan (Ann) Barber; nine siblings, Robert (Sandi) Barber, Dale Ray, Paul (Marilyn) Barber, Tim (Kim) Barber, Cynthia (Greg) Straka, Steve (Sue) Barber, Sharon (Joe) George, Rosanne (Steve) Adams, Philip (Angie) Barber. Also surviving a brother-in-law, Wayne (Linda) Taylor; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Rose Barber; a sister, Elaine Taylor and a brother-in-law, Jim Ray. The family will meet friends Sunday 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the

Funeral Services will be held Monday, 11:00 AM at the Bloomingdale Christian Church. Pastor Bill Napp officiating. Interment Robinson Cemetery, Bloomingdale Township, MI. The family suggests memorials to the Bloomingdale Christian Church for Missions.
