Edna passed away Wednesday morning, May 27, 2009 at Bronson Lakeview Hospital, Paw Paw. She was born September 24, 1920 the daughter of the late Edwin E. and Ada A. (Rubert) Overacker. She was employed for many years at Ben Franklin's in Paw Paw retiring in 1993. Edna loved playing bingo, bird watching and being with her family. On September 17, 1944 in Kalamazoo Edna was united in marriage to Darcy Manning who preceded her in death on December 20, 1980. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Bernard Overacker. Surviving are a son, James (Nancy) Manning; daughter, Marcia Madgyesi; two grandsons, Steve (Sheri) Manning and Charles (Wynn) Madgyesi; two granddaughters, Lisa (Kip) DeVall and Darcy (Gary) Hicks; all of Paw Paw; nine great-grandchildren; brother (Charles) Evelyn) Overacker of Paw Paw; many nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Wednesday, June 3, 2009, 10 AM to 11 AM at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw where a memorial service will be held Wednesday at 11 AM with Rev. Carol Newman officiating. A luncheon will follow at the Almena United Methodist Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bronson Lakeview Nursing and Rehab.
