Died Sunday morning February 1, 2009. Nicholas was born May 23, 1910 in Nesquehoning, Pennsylvania a son of Caesar and Mary (Tedesco) Serado. During WWII, he served with the U.S. Army. He had been a Kalamazoo area resident for 13 years, coming from Pennsylvania. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Jennie Serado in 1994; five brothers; and a sister. He is survived by a daughter, Joan (David) Wendling of Lawton; two grandsons; a great-granddaughter; a sister, Margaret Williams of Maryland; and several nieces and nephews. Private services and burial will be held in Pennsylvania at a later date. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be directed to the West Michigan Cancer Center.
