Marian passed away Sunday morning, November 2, 2008 at Bronson Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Lawton. Marian was born April 5, 1915 in Paw Paw, the daughter of the late Frank and Edna (VanLiew) Carpenter. Marian and her husband, Clifford, owned and operated the Tasty Freeze in Paw Paw and later cared for the elderly in the area. On August 15, 1936 in South Bernd, IN, Marian was united in marriage to Clifford Landers, who preceded her in death on March 13, 1980. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Frank Carpenter. Surviving are a daughter, Carolyn (Larry) Keller of Kalispell, MT; grandson, Dale (Lori) Congdon of Gobles; two granddaughters, Cathy Howard of MO and Sheri (Hollis) Roden of Gobles; two great-grandchildren and step-grandchildren. Family will receive friends Tuesday morning 10 to 11 AM at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw where services will be held at 11 AM, with Rev. Mark Whittaker officiating.
