Mattawan- Arthur B. Thompson, 75, of 25407 Pershing Rd, Mattawan, died Thursday night at home.

The funeral will be held Saturday at 1 PM at Newell Funeral Home, Decatur, where friends may call after 6 PM today. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Mattawan.

Mr. Thompson was born Feb 28, 1911 in Providence RI. He was employed as a tool and die maker for Studebaker Corp. and Bendix Corp., both of South Bend, for 30 years before retiring in 1972.

Survivors include: his wife, the former Phoebe Tuttle, whom he married June 15, 1935; two sons- Thomas of Bremen IN, and Allan of Portage MI; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Ralph, of Bellwood, IL.
