Passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at home. Bob was born June 3, 1956 in Kalamazoo the son of Donald Gene and Maryanna Jane (VandeBiezen) Emmert. He was a craftsman in woodworking and was currently employed by Decatur Wood Products. Survivors include his wife Deborah of Tampa, FL; mother Maryanna Emmert of Bloomingdale; sister DiAnn (Stan) Mason of Bangor; two brothers, David (Kellie) Emmert of Angola, IN, William A. (Nancy) Emmert of Mattawan; two nieces and two nephews; Robert Dean of Australia, Jynessa Mason of Alexandria, VA, Matthew Emmert of Kalamazoo and Rachel Emmert of Mattawan. Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held 1:00 PM Thursday in the Volinia Baptist Church with Reverend Tom Stout and Reverend Michael Heflin officiating. Arrangements by Newell Funeral Home, Decatur. Memorials may be made to Eastern Van Buren County Habitat for Humanity.
