The 1900 census indicates he was born June 1861.

The 1870 VanBuren, Michigan census indicates he was 18 years old and first name was spelled Welcomb.

The 1910 census has him as W. Horton with Lucy, Rosa, Viola and daughter Lucy in Bloomingdale Township, Van Buren County, Michigan. Per census he is 58 years old and married for 28 years.

Does this confuse the situation more? I've used the June 1861 dates in my records. I have his middle name as Asa in case anyone wonders what the A. is for.
