Mr. Raymond E. (Ray) Leach a longtime Millington resident passed from our world into God’s Kingdom early Friday afternoon April 6, 2012 while at the Covenant Health Care Center Cooper Campus in Saginaw Ray was 72.

The son of Clare & Lila (Kowitz) Leach Ray was born in Watertown Township of Fostoria Michigan on November 29, 1939. On March 10, 1962 Ray married Miss Judith (Judy) Harpham and together she and Ray have celebrated 50 years of marriage. For 30 years Ray was employed with Dalrymple Appliance Store in Millington until its closing. In 1981 Ray became the head Custodian at the St. Paul Lutheran School where he worked for the next 21 years until his retirement in 2002. Ray was also a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, where he served the church and the school in many ways other than the Custodian.

Ray leave his wife Judy, two sons and daughter in-laws, Raymond & Angel Leach, Byron & Jennifer Leach, a daughter Shelley Coon, ten grandchildren, and four great grandchildren, one brother Ronald Leach, four sisters; Marleah Hoard, Joyce Schmitzer, Erma Mason, and Bernice Carr, as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family. Ray is preceded in death by two brothers, George and William Leach, a sister Helen Leach and a sister in-law Barbara Leach.

Honoring Ray’s wishes cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial service at 11:00 Am Saturday April 14, 2012 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Millington; the family will receive friends at the church on Saturday morning from 9:30 Am until the services begin. Pastor James Bruner will deliver the memorial message and the closing prayers. Memorial gifts of remembrance can be directed to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
