Married in Mildenau 30 April, 1871.

Sailed from Bremen to New York on the Rhein. Arrived New York 16 May, 1879. Purchased 40 acres land from Merkel's at Forestville, Sanilac county, Deleware Township, Michigan.
Children sailing with parents in 1879: Paul Ernest, Otto Hugo, Clara Helen(a), Lena Anna. 10 more children born at Forestville - the two survivors were Lizzie (Elizabeth) Flora (my grandmother), and Elsa Pearl.

This family were Lutherans and helped build a Lutheran church close to their farmhome near Forestville.

Lizzie married VANWORMER, Henry Johnson 23 Jan. 1904 at Ruth Michigan (Huron county I think). Henry born 2 June 1874, and died 13 Oct. 1909. They had 3 daughters at White Rock, Huron county, Michigan. Lizzie moved to Sask. Canada in 1910.

Siegert's and Henry VanWormer buried in Forestville cemetery.

I have the family names the Siegert children married into - most still in the area.

I would love to hear any additional info about these relatives - especially Henry as I have hit a dead end on every turn.
