The surname was AARON. They lived right in the area you are describing from about 1910 to 1920. At that point, they moved to Detroit, but most of the family returned to the Freeland and Laporte areas later. One branch married into the Chamberlain line (which you may know since they've been there for a long time) from Laporte. My grandfather (Carl) returned to Freeland around 1950, and lived the remainder of his days there. He was the Tittabawassee Twp supervisor for 2 terms. Any of these folks ring any bells?
