Charles E. Vande Water, 81 of Holland, died Friday, Jan.9, 1998 in Holland Community Hospital. Born in Holland, he was a resident all his life. He was a tool and die maker with General Motors in Grand Rapids for 37 years before retirement in 1974 and served as President of the UAW-CIO Local 730. He was a member of the Holland Township School Board. He served with the Navy Sea Bee`s during WW2. Survivors are his wife of 57 years, Sally. Children - Deloris (Dee) Potts of Kansas City, MO. Charles (Marty) and Janice Vande Water of Raymond, CA. and Glenn Vande Water of Reed City, MI. 3 grandchildren. sister, Florence Dokter of Holland. Nephews, nieces, and cousins.
