Please, can anyone tell me whether a newspaper existed in Otsego County in 1898 that might have had obituaries? If so, is there microfilm available of it anywhere today? I am trying to find details about William J. Sly who was born in 1826 and died on 13 or 14 September 1898 in Vanderbilt. William is buried in Evergreen Hill Cemetery (also called Vanderbilt Cemetery). Because I do not live in Michigan, I am unfamiliar with what newspapers might have existed in the area around 1898.
