Andreas Liljegren was born February 21, 1866 in Östra Tommarp parish, Sweden. He immigrated in 1889. I haven’t found him, neither in the censuses, nor in other sources. My only trace of him is a portrait, taken by “C Raven, Ontonagon, Mich”.

Photographer Christian Raven was at work in Ewen, Ontonagon between 1884 (earliest) and 1900 (at the latest).

Any information about Andreas (Andrew) Liljegren and Christian Raven is valuable to me.

Thanks for the information about Christian Raven. It's a little step closer Andreas Liljegren. Do you - Alicia - think there are local sources, which can give information about Andreas? He must have been living in Michigan permanent or for some time.

That name is a hard one to find as it is so often spelled
wrong. There is a new beta test site with many Michigan
rocords on it but it may be a long search. You have to be creative in spelling. You can search by just first name and put in the county and it will automatically fill it in or by last name.
