Ontonagon County Genealogical Society—mapping the roots of
Ontonagon CountyMeetings are held the third Monday of the month at the Ontonagon Township Building at 7 pm. Public is welcome. Dues are $10.00 a year.
The
Ontonagon County Genealogical Society is a nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing people together for the purpose of expanding their research skills and, in the process, increasing their ancestral knowledge. The objectives and purposes of the society are:
To preserve genealogical and historical materials of
Ontonagon County.
To encourage, instruct, and educate members in the use of genealogical research techniques and procedures.
To locate and index public and private genealogical records and make such records available to members and the general public.
To maintain and elevate genealogical standards.
To establish a resource library for members to enhance genealogy research.
