DIES TUESDAY NIGHT
Joseph Henry
PICOTTE, 51, of Ontonagon, passed away at 10:55 Tuesday night, July 14 at the Memorial Hospital. He had been in failing health since last November but worked until three weeks ago. He last enter the hospital about two weeks ago.
"Joe" was born May 6, 1908 in
Welsh,
Wisconsin, a son of Mrs. Delia
PICOTTE and the late Joseph
PICOTTE. He came to Ontonagon with his parents at the age of two years. He has lived here ever since and was employed in the coal business for the Gitche Gumee Oil. Co. He was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church.
He was married to the former Elizabeth
Hamilton on December 12, 1928. They have one son, Howard, who is now home after his Air Force duty this spring.
Besides his wife and son, other immediate survivors include his mother, Mrs. Joseph
PICOTTE, Ontonagon; three brothers, William, Lawrence and Robert, Ontonagon; and three sisters, Mrs. Norman (Violet) Heyel of Tacoma, Wash.; Mrs. Lawrence (Delilah)
Hamm and Prs. Paul (Eleanor)
Guzek, Ontonagon. His father died fifteen yers ago. Two sisters and four brothers also preceded him in death.
His body is at the Allen
Cane Funeral Home. The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Thursday by the Rev. Fr. Charles
Olivier.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Friday at the Holy Family Church with Fr. Olivier officiating. Burial will be in the family lot of the Catholic Cemetery.
