Here is some misc information I located - this is not my family
The following sites are all free information for the taking - just needs a
little investing, there is more I'm sure...

At
www.USGENWEB.com Michigan,
Ogemaw Co - if you were to search thru the
records listed you would find a burial in
Edwards Township Cemetery for:
Belle
Cohoon, Sidney
Cohoon, Anna T
Sergent, Benjamin
Carey Sergent, Clara P
Sergent and Walter E
Sergent most of these have dates associated with
them - so they will be helpful.
Then at
www.rootsweb.com If you enter in Sidney
Cohoon as a search you
will find there is someone out there researching this family
ALSO : enter Name Bell
Cohoon and see the Soc Sec Death Index - Same with
Benjamin
Sergent and so on
Then off to misc information - you will find Bell Cohoons death in the
Genesee County Clerk of
Court Records at
http://www.co.genesee.mi.us/vitalrec/ This would probably mean she needed
more specialized care at the time then the local hospital in West Branch
could do.
I would think you could trace the families thru the census now - you can
usually get that information for free. If you live in MI - then you can
access
Heritage Quest records thru the Library of
Michigan and using your
drivers license. If you live in another State many libraries offer free
access thru
Heritage Quest with either your Library card,
Driver License at
your very own home or at their location.
If you haven't tried before you can also read on
www.ancestry.com for a 14
day trail with them and go to town on their
Michigan Records and Census
Records in the 14 days. Did some checking and you will be visiting Ogemaw,
Genesee and Gladwin Co for sure with these misc families.
Last suggestion: would contact the local Rose City Historical Soc - they
are very good at helping and their fee's are very reasonable for those of us
that live out of State.
Hope some of this is helpful to you and best of luck!
