"The Orphan Train in Michigan"

The Warren Historical & Genealogical Society Genealogy Group would like to invite the public to their program "The Orphan Train in Michigan" scheduled for Thursday, September 13, 2012 at 7:00pm.

The program will be presented by Arlene Robertson, a member of the DAR, Colonial Dames, 17th Century, and 8 other hereditary societies.

From 1854-1929 more than 12,500 orphans from New York City, Boston and the New Jersey area were placed in Michigan .

The program will be presented at the Historical Gallery in the Warren Community Center, 5460 Arden, Warren, MI (south of 14 Mile Rd. & west of Mound Rd.). There is no charge for the program, donations are accepted.
