Am looking for information regarding Rose SHANTY (daughter of John SHANTY and Lucy COUSINEAU) born March 1881 and died October 1907. She married Timothy Edward LOSS in 1899. I found an article in the Genealogy Bank regarding her death. Never knew she existed until now and since there is no 1890 census, I cannot confirm. Perhaps she is listed on the state census for 1884 or 1894? (There is a Rosalie Shanty, daughter of George and Bessie Shanty. They are related but she is a different Rose.)

Also looking on the same census' for Melvina SHANTY who married James Edward GREEN. Melvina born abt 1876. She is another daughter of John and Lucy SHANTY. The GREENs had a child, James Green Jr, who was killed by a railroad car in August 1894. The family lived at 602 W. Western Ave when the accident occurred in 1894. Looking to find more info, children of this couple? etc. I know the GREENs eventually moved to Pennsylvania, just not sure when.
