Mr. Ray Monette passed away Tuesday afternoon. Age 85. Born June 16, 1891 at Brunswick, Mich. and lived in the Holton area all of his life. He married the former Lulu Murphy Oct. 26, 1912 at Windsor, Ontario and Mrs. Monette died in 1964. He was the former owner and operator of the Ray Monette Garage in Holton from 1918 until his retirement in 1946 and was a communicant of St. Michael Catholic Church, Brunswick. Survivors include one son, Max Monette of Holton, one brother, Lyle Monette of Brunswick, one sister, Mrs. Blanche Thill of North Muskegon, 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. A Funeral Mass for Mr. Monette will be offered Friday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Brunswick, the Rev. John Giammona as celebrant with interment in St. Michael Cemetery. Friends may call at the Walburn Funeral Home where they may meet the family today 7 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A rosary service will be held at the funeral home Thursday evening at 7 o'clock.
