Searching for death and burial information on MOSES CARPENTER WISNER. In 1880 census he was living with his son THOMAS BUNCE WISNER in Wayne County, MI. After 1880 THOMAS moved to Missaukee County, and died there in 1889. I have
been unable to find death records of MOSES in Wayne County,
where his wife is buried. Possibly he moved to Missaukee Countynty with his son. Any records of his death and burial will be sincerely appreciated.

Sorry, not as far as I know. Johannes Wisner is the earliest
Wisner in our line. He was a Swiss soldier in the British Army.
When the wars between Britain and France cooled down
about 1700, the crown had some 10,000 Swiss soldiers that
the did not need, so many of them took up the offer of getting
land free in the Colonies. There also were Wisner-Weisner
immagrants from Germany. Good Luck!!

I found a Moses C Wisner that is buried in Montcalm County, with a birth in 1797 and a death in 1886. Forest Hill Cemetary. Could this be related? I have been researching the Wisner family for my wife. She is a descendent of C D Wisner (Clarence Derr Wisner)

I failed to thank you for giving me that leed. I later found the
burial of one of his sons and wife in the same cemetery.
In the thousands of Wisners that I have, I do not have
Clarence Derr Wisner. Do you know any of his ancestry.
As a long-time Wisner researcher I would like to add anything you could forward, and possibly I would be of help.

C D Wisner is buried in the same cemetary as Moses C Wisner. C D was born in 1791 in Orange Co., NY and died Jan 05, 1869 in Stanton, Montcalm Co., Michigan. C D could have been known as Cornelius. I have had trouble tieing him into the Wisners from Orange Co. I do not believe it is a conicidence he is buried in the same cemetary. C D had three wives, Rebecca Sutton, Angeline Youngs, and Tamson Youngs. Any help would be aprreciated

to Kathy Mcdowell re the death of Hiram Wisners parents -killed by Indians. There is a reference to a settler named Wisner being stabbed to death by an Indian near Three Rivers, Mich(just south of Kalamazoo). The book is
AUTOBIOGRAPHICAL NOTES by E Lakin Brown published in 1905, 57 pgs.
In another post I read that you were looking for Dekay Wisner from Orange Co NY. My GGG grandfather was Cornelius D Wisner born in Orange Co, NY in 1792 or 96. He came to Hillsdale Co Mich in about 1857. No one is sure what his middle name was but it has been suggested that it might be Dekay, Derr, or Duboise. Would love to share info with you. You can email me at jerwisner@juno.com Thanks Gerald Wisner
