to Kathy Mcdowell re the death of Hiram Wisners parents -killed by Indians. There is a reference to a settler named Wisner being stabbed to death by an Indian near Three Rivers, Mich(just south of Kalamazoo). The book is

In another post I read that you were looking for Dekay Wisner from Orange Co NY. My GGG grandfather was Cornelius D Wisner born in Orange Co, NY in 1792 or 96. He came to Hillsdale Co Mich in about 1857. No one is sure what his middle name was but it has been suggested that it might be Dekay, Derr, or Duboise. Would love to share info with you.
