My maternal grandparents are Donna Marie Schepers and Patrick Dwight Marlow.

We are looking for the ancestors of Sidney L. Schepers (Albert G. Schepers and Lena Van Haitsma) & Jennie Mae Eising (Albert Eising & Anna Herweyer) of Falmouth, Michigan.

Sidney & Jennie's children were Margaret "Peggy" Ann, Donna Marie, and Sharon Schepers.

and

Robert James Marlow (Harold James Marlow & Marie Francis Fletcher?) and Marguerite Pearl Weiler (Daniel Joseph Weiler & Mayme Caroline Knutson, also spelled Nutson).

Robert & Marguerite's children were Patrick Dwight and Robert Daniel Richard Marlow.

Any information will be very appreciated!

I used to attend First Presbyterian Church in McBain when I was a child. I know there are Schepers who attend there. You might find someone who could help.

"Robert & Marguerite's children were Patrick Dwight and Robert Daniel Richard Marlow"

Was Robert Daniel Richard Marlow one person or should it have been Robert, Daniel, & Richard Marlow?

The Schepers and VanHaitsma familes were cousins of my mother.

Albert EISING was the brother of my gr-gr-grandfather, Egbert EISING. Their parents were Jan (John) EISING and Hilligje KOK EISING (there are several variations on Hilligje's first name, including "Hillichje").

Here's the information I have, though most of it is from undocumented genealogies and family records (I'm in the process now of trying to confirm things--that's how I came across your post!):

Jan Eising: born 3 February 1839, Hijken, Drenthe, Netherlands; died 5 August 1903, Lake City, Missaukee Co., Michigan.

Hilligje Kok: b. 2 June 1851, Beilen, Drenthe, Netherlands; d. 6 November 1927, Lake City.

Jan EISING and Hilligje KOK were married on 5 September 1878 in Westerbork, Drenthe, Netherlands. She was his second wife; his first wife was Grietje REININK. Jan EISING and Grietje Reinink had six children before she died on 15 August 1876, in Westerbork. Several of those children came to the US, marrying spouses named Schepers, Herweyer, and Hoekwater.

Jan Eising's father was Egbert EISING, b. 20 March 1803, Zweelo, Drenthe, Netherlands. His mother was Geesje Jans Schepers, b. 8 March 1803 and died 10 April 1872, both in Beilen, Drenthe.

Hilligje Kok's father was Willem KOK, b. 30 November 1828 and d. 12 December 1918, both in Beilen, Drenthe. Her mother was Geertje KREEFT, b. 3 March 1829, also in Beilen.

We know the names of Hilligje Kok's grandparents, though nothing else: her father Willem Kok's parents were Jan KOK and Hilligien CORNELIS; her mother Geertje Kreeft's parents were Roelof Kreeft and Marrigje TAP.

Albert EISING was the second of seven children born to Jan EISING and Hilligje Kok:
1) Egbert EISING, b. 1879, d. 1926--my gr-gr-grandfather
2) Albert EISING, b. 11 October 1880
3) Gerrit EISING, b. 23 October 1882, d. 13 March 1959
4) Aaltje/Alice EISING CATTS, b. 9 August 1885, d. 1978
5) Magrieta/Mary EISING, b. 14 September 1887, d. 1977
6) Jan/John EISING, b. 31 January 1890, d. 3 March 1970
7) Hillichje/Helen EISING BRINKS, b. 15 October 1893, d. 25 June 1953

Gerrit, Mary, and John EISING all stayed single their whole lives, and together they owned and ran a farm.
My grandfather was Harm EISING, b. 28 April 1912, d. 12 November 1988. When his father Egbert EISING died in 1926, leaving behind three orphaned children, my grandfather lived with the single aunt and uncles, and so did at least one sister, some of the time.

My grandfather's family:

--Egbert EISING, 1879-1926
--Jane/Jennie VELTING EISING, b. 7 February 1886, Clam Union Twp., Missaukee Co., Michigan; she died in February 1915, in Prosper, Missaukee Co. My grandfather's earliest memory was seeing his mother in her coffin; he was two years old.
--Margaret EISING KOSTER, b. 29 November 1907, d. 25 February 1956
--John E. Eising, b. 1 December 1909, d. 1924
--Harm EISING, 1912-1988
--Helen EISING VANDE POL, b. 30 November 1914, d. fairly recently

If you want I can send you "reports" in a variety of forms, with all of this information--let me know!

Thank you so very much for this James! I've added you to my tree so you can see the *many* pictures I have of the Eisings, Herweyers, Schepers, etc. So exciting to find cousins online. I'll be happy to read any of your reports as you make them!

I'm glad it was helpful, Tania--and thanks for adding me to your tree!

I'm putting my info up on Ancestry pretty slowly, basically as I confirm events or get documentation. But I have a lot of information offline in my files. I'll set up some reports to send to you that are more systematic than my message was.

So, Howdy, Third Cousin Once Removed! (that's what RootsMagic tells me you are...!)

Hi, I was a VanHaitsma. Lena would have been my Grandfather Garrett's sister. Their parents were Seitze VanHaitsma (3/24/1845 Netherlands to 11/21/1899 Prosper, Michigan) and Maria (Mary) Kruithoff (9/17/1960 Netherlands to 8/2/1951 Prosper, Michigan).
I have further back if you would like me to send it to you, send me an email at houlihand@comcast.net
