Amos CARTER and wife Melissa moved to MISSAUKEE County Michigan in 1880 from Lenawee County Michigan. They brought 4 daughters under age 10. Amos was a Cival War veteran out of JACKSON, Michigan. His father was named JOHN CARTER sometimes referred to as CASTER. Melissa was Amos' 2nd wife and not the birth mother of the 4 daughters. Their birth mother was Hannah Minerva WINES. One of the 4 daughters was Myrtle CARTER. Myrtle married George COLE, also of MISSAUKEE County Michigan. I'm looking for any information regarding this family!!
