I am looking for any information on the family of Herman Gath, my great grandfather.
His parents were: Augustes F. and Christina L. Gath (Dirges).
Siblings are: Augusta, Ida, Martha and Lewis F.
The Gath family is from Port Sanilac area, Sanilac, Michigan. Herman was married several times and had 3 children-my grandmother-Martha May Gath(1892) and her sister-Ethel Emma (1894)were born in Falmouth, Missaukee, Michigan . His son Wesley was born in Clam Union Twp, Missaukee in 1900.
I am looking for information on the wives of Herman Gath. We believe that Martha and Ethels mother was a Mary Tegel or Mary Dietal, Dichtel and Wesleys mother we believe was Augusta (nee unknown) Gath. He then (1910) is shown to be married to a Mable S. (nee unknown) Gath.
Wesley is shown in 1920 census in Kalkaska living with an Uncle-named James Mathew-I can assume that would make Augusta a Mathew maybe????? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
