Jennings history, Missaukee County

Gage family lived in Jennings when it was a booming mill town. John, Leroy, Edna Gage-Friske and Jennette Gage are buried in the Jennings cemetery, Missaukee County, Michigan. Any information, even historical about the town would be appreciated. Have some old pictures of when the mill was in operation. Oscar Friske was my grandfather and played ball for the "town team."

Hello, I am searching for descendants of Martin Friske, born in 1842 somewhere in Prussia. He lived in Hastings, Minnesota for a while, but a son John was born in Michigan in 1869. It may have been Missaukee County. Not sure.

Is anyone researching this family?

Thank you. Daniel Kahl (Tokyo)

My grandfather, Yorgan Hanson, worked at the Mitchell Brothers store as a butcher. He married my grandmother, Goldie Fairchilds-she was a photographer. They lived in Jennings after they got married and my mother was born there. I have lots of pictures of the mill and of people who lived there.

My husband has dates of marriages that I can send. I'm also trying to do historty on the town. We spent our summers there.
