Ruth,

Thank you for writing back. Annette was your husbands 1st cousin. She was the daughter of Charles (Robert, your father-in-law, brother) and his 1st wife (don't know her name). I know Annette considered Shirley her mom because that is who raised her, but she was actually her step mom. If there is anything else you remember about Shirley, please let me know.

Do you know in what cemetery Robert is buried in? I was told Shirley is buried with him somewhere in a Buffalo suburb.
Thanks
Trish

Patricia.
I don't know much about her, just what my husband told me over the years. Did she have a little girl named Annette? Some how I keep remembering the name, my husband had a picture of her at one time. She was married to Robert when he died, my husband was about 17 or 18. He met her then. If I remember anything else I will let me know. My husband never knew his father too well. He divorced his mom when he was probably only 5 or 6.

I am hoping that some kind person will be able to provide me with the obituaries for this couple. According to the census, he would have died between 1920 and 1930, and she after 1930. They lived on Broadway in Menominee. I am hoping to correct some misinformation on Ancestry. More information on the family can be found by looking at my tree.-My Family's Grove
Hello.
Thank you for replying.
I have no record for this couple ever having lived in Wisconsin. Christinas siblings lived in Holland, MI.
I have not been able to find her emigration of abt 1897, which may note her destination in the US. I have no other data on Nils, than the census of 1900 and 1910.
Their son Christian, moved to Milwaukee as an adult, while his mother lived with relatives in Holland.
I have posted a query on him on the Milwaukee board.

Stine

Married to xxxxx, child is Raymond born 1838 in Michigan,John Jr died a few months later in 1838.

Edward Thank you very much for sending the obituary information. I thought that John was married to my grandmother's sister, however her name was Bertha (nee) Petersen. The Olson name has me doubting that Bertha is related to me.

There is no need to send the entire obituary now since I might have been tracing the wrong family.

Did the obituary mention the cemetery that John would have been interred in ? If it was mentioned would you please advise me of the name and/or location.

Once again Thank You Carol

Edward I am not sure if the Matinsen's are related to me. I thought Bertha's maiden name was Petersen however the obit said Olson.

I don't need the obituary if they are the "wrong" family however thank you again for your offer.

Thank you Carol

Hi Lisa

I have a Marie DEGREVE b. 1840 in Tourinnes-la-Grosse who married a WERY in 1861. This Marie DEGREVE was a sister of Francois Xavier DEGREVE b. 1842.

Francois Xavier DEGREVE married my Great Grand Aunt - Alexandrine MACAU (MACCO)-- and they had a flock of kids in Kewaunee County. They later moved to Menominee County, MI with some of their children. It appears that the older daughters were probably married and stayed in Kewaunee Co.

It's been dificult to find much info on this family. If the Marie I mentioned above is indeed your 3G Grandmother - I have a bit of info on her family.

Let me know,
Ken
